The Savage Axis XP, formerly the Savage Edge, is rated best-in-class among entry level rifles. The modern design of the Axis XP features silky smooth bolt operation, a detachable box magazine, dual pillar bedding, a composite stock, a free-floating barrel with a sporter taper, a matte black metal finish, and a two-position safety. The crisp Axis trigger has a pull weight of approximately five pounds. The rifle includes a 3-9x40 matte blued scope, mounted and bore sighted.
