Comments about SPOT Gen3 Satellite GPS Messenger Personal Tracker:

I carry my SPOT on long bicycle trips in remote areas and on shorter frequent rides. On a normal day, it allows my wife or friends to watch my progress. I've had occasion to use the SOS button. I encountered an injured cyclist far from a town or cell coverage. The SPOT call center contacted the correct 911 center who dispatched a sheriff and medical almost instantly. They also contacted my wife and kept her current with what was going on. Now, I won't go out without it.

Comments about SPOT Gen3 Satellite GPS Messenger Personal Tracker:

My wife purchased the SPOT for me the day before I embarked on a 7 day offroad motorcycle trip by myself. Day 2 into the ride I fell and broke my leg, 30 miles from civilization. Within 2 hours of activating my SPOT I was being loading into a helicopter which had my coordinates and flew directly to me and then we proceeded to the hospital. SPOT did everything it was supposed to.
