    Comments about SOG Tactical Tomahawk:

This thing is great, I use it while camping for splitting wood, excavating, clearing brush, etcetera, etcetera, and it would be great for defense when applicable!
The blade end is super sharp right out of the package and holds an edge very well, the spike end has the perfect point for excavation and it holds that point very well, the point also works well as an ice axe for breaking up ice and with a lanyard affixed to the handle it can aid in tree climbing!
There isn't anything that I have found that would be a negative about this product, the quality is exceptional!

    Comments about SOG Tactical Tomahawk:

The sheath is nylon but the blades are so sharp they cut into it as soon as you belt it up or even remove it from the sheath, As I mentioned, a Kydex holder would be easier to use and if it had a pouch for a multi-tool it would be welcomed! This is not a toy- this is razor sharp and keeps an edge. Also the handle is ribbed so you have a great grip as-is but I wrapped mine with para-cord and it's twice as good. the hole is there to tie it off and have a professional appearance. This is WAY worth the money. It is well made as expected by SOG. After a few practice throws I was burying the blade or spike into an oak tree deep. If this was thrown at a soft target, it's all over. Just look at the close-up. It's typical SOG high quality and why I prefer them for bladed gear.
