    Dear Sirs,
    I have some fairly bad corrosion on the metal ends of both of my hydraulic steering hoses, and I'm trying to find some replacements.
    The boat they're in is a 1998 Crownline 202 BR. It has a GM 5.7 liter V8, with an Alpha 1 Generation II stern drive unit.
    Only one of the hydraulic hoses has high pressure fittings at both ends. It runs from the pump all the way back to the cylinder. The other one only has a high pressure fitting at the cylinder, and just a simple hose clamp on the other end. This one is maybe only a couple feet long at the most.
    Can you help me find some replacements?

      Archie,
      You definitely want high pressure fittings on both ends. It appears someone tried to replace a leaky end. You will need to measure the cable and order the proper cable. My recommendation would be to replace both while you are doing it. Hydraulic fluid is very corrosive and can cause leaks over time. The cable that is only a couple feet is a little confusing. Normally they are roughly the same length going from the Helm to the cylinder. You can also get different lengths and put on compression fittings yourself. Hope this helps.
