Comments about Ruger Super Blackhawk Handgun:
I bought the stainless version for a hunting side arm. The gun weight and 5.5in length barrel helps reduce the gun muzzle rise shooting 180 or 200gr. ammo. Shooting .44 spl. ammo, the gun feels like you're shooting a .22 cal. pistol. I also like the fluted cylinder that the other New Model SBHs do not have. The grips, though they look good, are super slick. After shooting a box of heavy mag ammo, the gun will tend to roll up in your hand due to sweat and oils causing the finger guard to sore up the middle finger. That's why I bought it for hunting. I don't plan to shoot boxes of ammo in one sitting. Also, the replacement Hogue grips Ruger offers did not fit; sent them back and got a set of original redwood to be checkered. I think it's a great gun and it's a Ruger. Made in America.
