Product Description
ruger The SR9c compact pistol utilizes the same adjustable, high-visibility 3-Dot sight system as its full-sized predecessor, setting it apart from many compact pistols that rely on fixed sights. The SR9c is loaded with modern safety features like a 1911-style ambidextrous manual safety, internal trigger bar interlock and striker blocker, trigger safety, magazine disconnect, plus a visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator. The SR9c weighs in at 23.40 oz. and features an overall length of 6.85", height of 4.61", and the same slim 1.27" grip width (across safety levers) as the full-sized SR9. Comes with two magazines and features a flat-bottom butt plate. The 3.50" barreled pistol features an integral accessory rail that accommodates most lights and lasers. This large-magazine model has one 10 + 1 capacity and one 17 + 1 capacity with grip adapter.

I bought the SR9c after doing extensive research on compact semi-auto handguns. I went into the process with an open mind and did not let product name sway my decision.

I needed something that was:

1. Easy to use for my wife and I
2. Accurate!
3. Fun to shoot on the range
4. Powerful enough to neutralize a threat (Heaven-forbid that should ever happen)
5. Within a pricepoint between $300-$800

All of these things are exactly what I got with the Ruger SR9c!!

My wife loves it and we both really enjoy shooting it.

We both went to Gander Mtn and held several different models. The SR9c has a great balance and the weight feels properly distributed in your hand (not top heavy like many others).

I'm big on safety features and I really enjoy that the SR9c has a manual safety, a bullet-in-chamber indicator, as well as a magazine disconnect safety.

I could not ask for a better first handgun and I will never look back!

We bought this pistol for my wifes carry pistol. We went to the range the day after we purchased it. I oiled it right when we got home it was very dry from ruger. The wife loaded up the 10rd mag. The first clip she had 3 miss fires (light strikes). I tried different ammo just for giggles and same thing. I noticed that the slide wasnt seating all the way back. I took it back to gander the sales associate racked it and dry fired it and instantly felt the slide move. Right now they have it waiting to hear from the gunsmith and see what they say. Ive read alot of reviews and havent heard of any other problems like this so i guess we got a lemon.

    Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:

Have put about 700 rounds through my SR9C since that end of Feb. Has not had a hiccup and cleans very easily. Does not matter what band of ammo I put through it, it shoots as smoothly, if not better than the day I received it. The bast present I have received in a long time!!

      Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:

I bought this gun to use as my EDC for my CCW. Did a ton of research before I made my purchase and had my list down to this SR9c, S&W MP9, Taurus G2 and the Glock 26. I kept coming back to the SR9c and finally took the leap and bought it. As soon as I got it home I field stripped it and cleaned it. This is a must because Ruger definitely isn't shy with the packing grease! Toom it out to the range and ran two different types of ammo through it and it performed like a DREAM! Definitely happy with my purchase. Very little recoil and it fits my hand well. I highly recommend!

        Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:

Got this as a birthday present after doing a lot of research about what I wanted. Got it out to the range and it performed like a dream. It was shooting a little to the left right out of the box. The rear sights were super easy to adjust.

The ambidextrous safety is a great feature as well. My wife shoots lefty, and I shoot righty, so we can both deactivate the safety with no problems.

        Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:

This is flat out a great gun. My cousin bought an SR9, and I found it to be too big. I wanted a gun for conceal carry, but didn't want a tiny pocket gun for range shooting. The SR9c is like two guns in one. Put in the 10 round mag and it is great for concealing, but put in the 17 round extended clip and it becomes the full size SR9. It actually uses the same 17 round mag as the SR9, so you can share. Changable clip bottoms allow you to pick what fits your hand best. It is weighty, but when you fire it, all that weight feels just right to balance out the gun. I would recommend this gun to just about anyone.
