Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
I bought the SP101 after months of reading reviews on good concealable revolvers, and everything I read was true for the Pros and Cons of this firearm. It has good weight for handling magnum loads but the trigger and hammer are heavy. I ordered a spring kit and polished all of the internal working parts and now she feels smooth as glass along with the lighter hammer and trigger pull. I think this will be a very trusty sidearm for years to come.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
I can say for sure it dose kick like a mule, with 158 grain fmj dead on at 20yrd.
My wife also used it with 138 grain fmj, at 12yrds also dead on. best hand gun for the money and easy cleaning.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
I bought the .357 magnum version for home defense and concealed carry. After my first 100 rounds, I found it to be incredibly accurate. My only real experience with handguns was in the Military Police Corps. So this was my first time with a .357. I managed to put 80/100 rounds on a human silhouette at 10 yards. The weapon does kick like a mule and the grip is a little small for my large hands.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
Being a first time gun owner, I wanted a lightweight, concealable gun with accuracy and firepower. I have found it. Right out of the box I found it to be very accurate. The extra weight is not an issue.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
Gun shot great right out of the box. This gun is heavy, but when looking at similar others felt too light and not made as solid as the ruger. I did change the grips, making the gun feel like it was apart of my hand.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
Ruger makes the best revolvers in the industry....period! The finish, fit, accuracy, and ease of use make the SP101 a great gun for any situation. I bought it in both .327 and .357 magnum offerings. either caliber performs well as a man-stopping round for home defense or concealed carry. You cannot find a better priced, nice looking and exceptional shooting wheel gun.

Comments about Ruger SP101 Handgun:
Guys you want a fun and reliable gun, then get one. The picture shows one without hammer but ours has a hammer(wifes gun). She wanted one of the cheaper rugers but when we were in the store I told the guy to go get this one. It felt like it was worth the money. I am a huge fan of the Springfield XDs but this set me to like Rugers again. Bottom line, BUY IT!!!!DONT THINK TWICE

Q:
The spec sheet says that it is the 2.5 inch barrel but the display pic shows the 3 1/16 inch barrel. Do you sell both of them? if so is the 3 inch barrel legal for deer hunting in wisconsin?Asked on 5/24/2012 by Hoss from Wisconsin0 answers
