Comments about Ruger® LCR® Handgun:
I did a great deal of research prior to this purchase. The Ruger LCR matched to the Simply Rugged leather holster is a "dynamite personal protection and conceal carry weapon"! The +P personal ammo works well with this handgun. This is not a long range target revolver. Dont need the laser accessory as most "thugs" will be within the "center of mass" target area. Recoil is tame and can be handled by both men and women. This is not a "woshee girls target gun" by any means. I would not hesitate in recommending this firearm. Practice, Practice and Practice is the key to any firearm. Dont buy the firearm, store it in the bedroom bedside cabinet and feel secure if it is needed without routine handling, and range firing! V

Comments about Ruger® LCR® Handgun:
Finally had a chance to go to the range with this, shot .38 lead nose, .38 +P, and frangible ammo from Glaser and Magtech. Learned quickly that a solid hold against the back not top of the grip is necessary as the web of my hand hurt when I did not grip the gun correctly. When I did the recoil was very manageable. Kicks right and a bit high or not much at all when the grip was right. All the ammo felt the same. Used both hands and one, not much difference. Fairly accurate to 30 feet (longest shot I tried) and very accurate inside 10 feet. Seems a great gun for concealed carry.

Comments about Ruger® LCR® Handgun:
Bought this version for easy concealed carry and it's perfect for that. I intended to buy the S&W Bodyguard but they didn't have it in stock, and then I saw this one. Much better grip than the S&W especially for big hands. The recoil is pretty significant, but that's to be expected for a snubbie and the grip helps keep your hands from feeling it after a couple hundred rounds. I can't imagine what the recoil is like on the 357 version, lol. Accuracy is what it is; this is designed to be a close range firearm, not a target pistol.
My very minor complaints include the MASSIVE trigger pull, which is common for DA revolvers, but this one is really tough. You just have to practice to account for it. Also the top of the grip being so thick makes it impossible to use a speedloader or jetloader for faster reloading. Finally the pocket holsters designed for snubbie revolvers tend to get hung up a bit on the gigantic trigger guard, so that the space under the trigger is still exposed when it's in the holster. But these are minor complaints. It's a really good lightweight revolver.

Comments about Ruger® LCR® Handgun:
I bought this gun on a recommendation over the s&w j frame. The difference is very clear as soon as you hold the LCR. Very light (which give a little more recoil)but wasnt uncomfortable. I love the way it shoots. The accuracy was pretty good for being a snub. At 21ft I could keep it in a grouping of 6 inches this very first time shooting it. The grip is very comfortable. the hogue grip allows you to grip higher on the pistol which feels much more comfortable then the j frames (for me at least). Only con that i can come up with is the ejector isnt long enough to push the casing completely out of the gun which makes it hard for quick reload. I would recommend this gun to anyone.
