Product Description
ruger Ruger's Gunsite Scout Rifle is the perfect lightweight, hard-hitting, do-it-all bolt-action rifle. The Gunsite Scout rifle was developed in conjunction with Gunsite, one of America's most respected firearms training facilities, to be the one gun that every shooter needs. Each rifle has the Gunsite logo engraved on the grip cap. The Gunsite Scout uses a non-rotating, mauser-type controlled feed extractor, the most positive case extraction system ever invented, and features a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects the empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward. The Gunsite Scout's soft rubber recoil pad with buttpad spacers allows the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters. Its accurate sighting system consists of a ghost ring adjustable rear aperture sight and a protected non-glare post front sight. Integral scope rings and a picatinny rail are included to provide a stable mounting surface for a variety of optics. The standard flash suppressor reduces muzzle flash and can be removed from the threaded barrel for the fitting of other muzzle accessories. Among the Gunsite Scout's huge range of premium features and accessories are: a rugged, one-piece stainless steel bolt, a medium contour, cold hammer-forged, alloy steel barrel, a glass reinforced nylon trigger and magazine well, and a 10-round detachable box magazine.

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:

Love the design and feel of the gun, very smooth firearm, well constructed. I waited over two yrs. to get my hands on this gun and actually found it in a sales AD from Gander Mountain. I live 4.5hrs. from the nearest store, I was able to call them and order it which went very smooth. Each person that I encountered at Gander Mountain was very professional and helpful during the purchasing process. Great quality gun very satisfied with the customer service of Grander Mtn. Also nice that Gander Mtn. actually have gunsmith's on staff to call when and if concerns or questions arise

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:

This has proven to be an outstanding rifle for feral hogs and deer. Installed an XS systems rail system and a Leatherwood CMR 1-4 scope. Ruger's polymer magazines are a great addition to this rifle.

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:

This is an AMAZING platform for ANYONE! This is a shooter's rifle. The choice of great iron sights, a forward rail mount optic, or the classic receiver mount optic just makes this weapon all that much better. The Scout platform was known for the forward rail and yes, that is where my EOTech XPS2 Zombie Stopper sight is mounted. Yeah, it is my fun gun right now.
The size and weight make it just right for a long day in the field. It is also very comfortable to spend all day at the range with.
Everyone owes it to themselves to get one of these fantastic rifles.

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:

First off this rifle has so many great useful add ons , That most rifles dont offer it has a semi auto feel to it even in a bolt action. Handles great ,looks gret,Accuracy is good ,Im getting 1.5 inch groups at 100 yrds,I reload and havent experienced a tighter chamber ever.but im limited in resources at the moment to give an all around accuracy test but im pleased with the function, durability and quality of this rifle. its light weight for a .308 rifle, but yet has a heafty ,beefy feel, love the detachable mags, but only downfall to this rifle i found is when loading a fresh mag in rifle the first round always cants down it'll still load but you have to finagle the bolt foward and back, i guess if you know this its not terrible. Ruger did it right!
