Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:
This has proven to be an outstanding rifle for feral hogs and deer. Installed an XS systems rail system and a Leatherwood CMR 1-4 scope. Ruger's polymer magazines are a great addition to this rifle.

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:
I love this gun, its the one to own, if you don't have a couple of M14/M1A types laying around. I will still give you a very accurate delivery of a 308 round down range. My only dissapointment with this gun is the design of the Magazine. It is the hardest mag I ever tried to load. I did find one aid that lets you use a stripper clip but that took some work. Why did not Rugar use the M14 design that is readily available and known to work easy. Many of us are looking at this as a back up to the 308/7.62 M14/M1A and that would make life a lot easier. I got rid of a much loved Mini 14 for the same reason. Went to the AR Platform. I love this gun too much for that. I am now looking for a decent scope.

Comments about Ruger Gunsite Scout Centerfire Rifle:
This is an AMAZING platform for ANYONE! This is a shooter's rifle. The choice of great iron sights, a forward rail mount optic, or the classic receiver mount optic just makes this weapon all that much better. The Scout platform was known for the forward rail and yes, that is where my EOTech XPS2 Zombie Stopper sight is mounted. Yeah, it is my fun gun right now.
The size and weight make it just right for a long day in the field. It is also very comfortable to spend all day at the range with.
Everyone owes it to themselves to get one of these fantastic rifles.
