Comments about Ruger 6 Round 357 Magnum w/Adjustable Sights/Stainless Finish & 6" Heavy Barrel:
Ruger revolvers are built like tanks. The GP100 which I used is a 6 inch blued model which is chambered for the .357 magnum / .38 special. It is one of the heavier revolvers I have handled. I prefer the new Hogue rubber grips, I have big hands and they feel better and more confortable to grab. You can not compare Ruger revolvers to those made by OTHERS. The finish on the Ruger is not as highly polished and fancy but the Rugers are sturdier and more carefully processed through CNC equipment. I prefer Rugers as a top choice.
I've really enjoyed shooting the GP100. By now, I've put nearly 500 rounds through it, and I've never had a problem. Of course it's a revolver, and I'd expect fewer issues than a semi-automatic pistol, but it's still nice to say "problem free".
The Ruger GP100 weigh in at the 50+ ounce range, but that didn't really bother me. I lift fairly regularly, so this may be less of an issue for me than others. Again, you'll just have to try it out.

Comments about Ruger 6 Round 357 Magnum w/Adjustable Sights/Stainless Finish & 6" Heavy Barrel:
Highly recommended. Good double action of the most reliable design. There is a reason why many police departments choose the GP100 is it's simple sure reliability, ease of use, accuracy and safety. The hammer block assures no dropping of the weapon will fire it, and the simple easy grip is comfortable. Gander should carry the 4 and 6 inch GP100's. The weapon is well respected and a few SW do approach it.
