Product Description
ruger No other .22 LR pistol provides the feel of the classic 1911 pistol with the proven reliability and value of the Ruger 22/45 pistols. In addition to the identical grip angles, the 22/45 features the same fire control locations (manual safeties, magazine releases and bolt hold-opens) as the 1911, making it perfect for .45 caliber shooters looking for an affordable way to train. The 22/45's internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent alignment and higher accuracy potential than conventional moving-slide designs. Its accurate sighting system is comprised of a precision-adjustable rear sight with fixed front sights and a drilled and tapped receiver for Weaver-style scope base adapters (included) for easy mounting of optics. Ruger's patented loaded chamber indicator provides visual and tactile indication that chamber is loaded. Other great features include a bull barrel, a contoured ejection port, an easy-to-grasp tapered bolt ears, and a conveniently located push button magazine release on the left side of the frame. Two magazines and hard plastic case are included with each pistol. 9-1/2" blued barrel. Checkered Cocobolo grip.

          I have taken this out once so far and it is a lot of fun to shoot. I couldn't ask for anything more out of a 22 pistol. The weight and grip feel very nice in my hand. I would have given 5 stars but the one thing I don't really care for so far is that the magazines have been pretty stubborn to get in/out. It seems that this problem might work itself out after enough use though.

            A good decesion to buy, but should have ordered ammo to go with it at time of order. In that the local store seems to not have any, or you have too hope you will find when you go to the store. Got rthe gun but can't use with no ammo, Help

              I absolutely love this gun! I would recommend this model to anyone looking to practice target shooting inexpensively. All the online talk about the difficulty in taking this weapon apart is overblown. Take it apart and put it back together 6 times and you are good to go. This model is great because you can change out the grips if you'd like. Now, if I can only get some more ammo!

                  Excellent pistol! Put over 1000 rounds through it and only one FTE. Take down is a little more difficult that other pistols but the Ruger site has a great tutorial, as does YouTube, of course. If you want a tried and true, reliable .22 then this is exactly what you want. Love the look, love the feel, very accurate, very fun.
