This is a fine pistol for frequent, affordable practice and improving marksmanship. As a novice shooter, I've been able to get tight groupings and refine my grip. This weapon should improve my marksmanship with my 1911, without the fuss of a 0.22 conversion kit (for a similar price). Not to mention this pistol is plain fun to shoot.
Disassembly was tricky at first, but became easy after the 2nd time. A Google-search for training videos was all it took to learn.
After 800 rounds of CCI mini-mag ammo, I've had no FTF or FTE malfunctions. The savings on ammo I've enjoyed have covered the cost of this pistol, when compared to the cost of 45 ACP. Thanks Ruger!

Bought the Ruger Mark III .22LR pistol for my wife & kids to begin shooting. Out of the box we experienced several ejection problems resulting in stove pipes. Put about 500 rounds down range hoping to break it in but still experienced the stove pipes.
Took it home to clean it and had problems during disassembly. Problem is that the Trigger Assy will not seperate from the Barrel Assy. This gun is not worth it's scrap value in my opinion. I own other Rugers and love them, I encourage you to look at other alternatives if you are in the market for this type of gun.

Comments about Ruger® 22/45™ MK III Handgun:
My Dad has a Ruger, I shot his enough to go to Gander Mountain and buy one for our pistol league at the Demmer Center. Since buying the pistol my scores have gone up significantly. My only concern is when I need to tear apart for a significant clean, but thats why I can take it to Gander Mountain and their gunsmith for cleaning.

Comments about Ruger® 22/45™ MK III Handgun:
Bought the 22/45 Target at same time as a Ruger 1911. Like the weight, grip angle, accuracy. Breakdown was not smooth first 2 times, a breeze now. Pull the bolt release button down and the bolt slides back in. Not one feed or eject problem after 550 Federal bulk and 325 Federal Match rounds, extremely reliable.

Comments about Ruger® 22/45™ MK III Handgun:
After 20 or so break in rounds, this gun shoots very well. Holds it's own with more expensive "Buckmark". Went to the range with my 2 sons shooting at a dueling tree. Blasted through 350 rounds in an hour! With the lower cost of 22 ammo we find we are shooting much more often. My wife took her CPL class and the instructor was also impressed. If you like plinking you will like this gun.

Very good gun,I have the threaded barrel with 2 rails.Put a red dot and a tactical light on it. Very accurate little gun.One thing, when you shoot fast some pieces of hot fragmant hit your arm.
