Comments about Rossi® Single Shot Heavy Barrel Centerfire Rifle:
You have to work with the loads on this gun just like any other rifle at 100 yds I shoot groups the size of a dime. gotta be smarter than the equipment!

Comments about Rossi® Single Shot Heavy Barrel Centerfire Rifle:
I HAVE READ REVIEWS AND THE SCOPE SEAMS TO BE THE HANG UP. I AM LUCKY THE SCOPE HAS BEEN RIGHT ON WITHIN 1/2" AT 50 YARDS SHOOTING 15 ROUNDS AT A TIME.SO FAR ONLY TARGET SHOOTING HAVEN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO TEST IN THE FIELD YET. COULD DEFINITELY BE A LITTLE LIGHTER.

Comments about Rossi® Single Shot Heavy Barrel Centerfire Rifle:
I had to put a different scope on this after that I feel confident in this rifle, have put 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions haven't shot at 100 yards yet but bet I could hit a quarter at 50 yards. only draw back I have is the trigger is on the stiff side. gonna hunt coyotes with it.
Pros
- Grouped after new mounts
- Grouped with new scope
Cons
- Had to change mounts
- Had to change scope
- Mounts are not good
- Scope will not group shot
Best Uses
- 3in group 200 yards
- Short Range
- With new scope mounts
Comments about Rossi® Single Shot Heavy Barrel Centerfire Rifle:
dont buy scope package as scope and mounts are bad wont group. i put 4x12 bushnel and new weaver mounts and grouped 2 in at 1oo yards 3 in at 2oo yards. sling swivels studs are really flimsy i drilled out front and put stud in back and pu extra for bipod then it worked well but not good out of box.

Comments about Rossi® Single Shot Heavy Barrel Centerfire Rifle:
[...]. As said by other reviewers I couldn't get the gun to group, and I had been told this by other people that also have the gun. On a whim I put on a spare Burris scope that I had and tried it. The groups closed right up. With reloads it groups under 1.5" at 100 yds, which is just fine for kids to start on. The scope that comes with it is obviously junk, spend a little cash and put another one on. Then you will have an acceptable combo to start with.
