Product Description
rossi Rossi now offers medium frame revolvers built to the same quality and reliability standards that have been part of the Rossi name for over 100 years. Rossi revolvers are machined from forged steel and will routinely fire the powerful rounds for a lifetime. Each handgun features deep, contoured finger grooves in the grip for a solid grasp and maximum shooting comfort. All Rossi Revolvers have the lifetime repair policy, as well as the patented Taurus Security System, a simple, integral locking device that allows the firearm to be secured by use of a special key. The Model 972 is a heavy-duty stainless steel revolver that fires .357 Magnum rounds. The 6-inch barrel helps reduce recoil and the adjustable rear sight along with a red ramp front sight help further ensure accuracy.

    i use this model 972 for huning and cant say enough good things about it, i like the factory sights, but dont like the factory grip as it is a little to small, all in all a good hand gun for a beginner and very well ballanced which helped with the recoil which was minimal to non existent.highly recomend it to anyone.

    bought the gun brand new from my local gander location. locked up after 12 rounds. finally got it opened and put some oil in it. put 7 more rounds threw it and did the same thing again with 5 live rounds in the chamber. completely unreliable firearm. biggest regret was ever buying this revolver. save some more money and get a s&w or something better. taurus/rossi has lost a customer for life

            Took it to the range and right out of the box I hit 48 of 50 in the box and 2 floated to the nine. Very nice gun. A tad bit thin and small for my big hands but felt good and had a smooth action.

              Excellent for personal defense and handgun hunting. Stainless Steel is great for wet environments. Sights are great. Fun to shoot!

              A little heavy, but still not bad compared to a loaded full-size service semi-auto. Grips supplied are great for smaller hands. With a good shoulder-rig, it's still concealable!

                I love this gun it is easy to use, very affordable and most importantly it is reliable. The safety features are remarkable! You can't go wrong by purchasing this gun. The only way to distinguish the Rossi 357 and Smith & Wesson 357 is by name and price only!

                    This is a great gun all around i bought it for my wife and shot 38 special's out of it. Took the wife about 5 shots to hit dead center and it does not kick that much either.

                        Yes. I have found a few online. There are some very nice looking wood grips available. Do a web search for "Rossi 972 grips" and look through the list. Try looking at online photos to get some ideas of what's available.
