Comments about Rivers Edge Uppercut Comfort Ladder Stand:

This is one of the best affordable stands on the market. The best way to get this stand up quick and easy is to first use climbing sticks on the back side of the tree from the stand. Climb up and throw a rope over a heavy limb preferably higher than where the stand will rest. Place the ladder at the base of the tree and tie the rope to one of the tree blades. Tie the other end to a atv if alone or have another person start to pull the stand up to the tree. You can walk the stand into the tree pretty easy once you get it past the balance point. Tie the rope off on the back side. Set the base where you want it. Climb up your climbing sticks and attach the straps and with a little tweaking, you will be all set for all day sits in comfort! Very sturdy and well made. Set this up in your garage where you have the proper tools and use the picture on the box for reference.

Comments about Rivers Edge Uppercut Comfort Ladder Stand:

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the directions were confusing. I knew a 21 ft stand with a seat and large platform with a 3 rail ladder was going to be heavy. I put it together in a little under 1.5 hours. I would not reccomend doing this in the field. I did put the sections together and raised the unit by myself. Yes it was heavy but not unmanageable if you can secure the feet of the ladder so you can walk it up the tree. It would be alot easier with 2 people. Very comfortable and easy to sit all day.

Comments about Rivers Edge Uppercut Comfort Ladder Stand:

I put this stand together in about an hour. It is heavy but I was able to intall it in my tree by myself. I'm 63 years old and I would reccomend you have a partner to help but contrary to other reviews, it can be done alone. I did use swivel ladder spikes that held the bottom of the stand secure while I walked it up the tree. Overall a very comfortabe and durable stand. I left it up all year with no damage. I will buy another soon!!

Comments about Rivers Edge Uppercut Comfort Ladder Stand:

Will replace tie down rope with rachet straps. It is time consuming to put together, don't try in the woods, but built tough with a lot of engineering. Incredible platform size, love the fold up seat and foot rest. Will use a pulley system to install in tree as my son and I could not lift it to tree. This is not a one day set up and take down. plan on leaving this for the season once in place. Have it in my yard set up until season opens.

Comments about Rivers Edge Uppercut Comfort Ladder Stand:

The stand itself is well made and gets you up above the average height of most ladder stands. I picked this one for 2 reasons. I would be close to the main trail the deer are using and the winds shift terribly in this area so I wanted the extra height to get any possible scent above the deer as they entered in case of winds shifting. That plan worked great! The second reason is the larger than average platform. I want the larger platform because I am not one for heights. That being said. The seat is comfortable, however it too is quite large. And does raise out of the way for a standing shot. Unfortunately it is so big that when you stand to take a shot there is about 6 inches of stand to stand on while you raise the platform. Not much there especially if you are not good with heights. So for many hunters out there this will be no problem, but for anyone that has any type of an issue with heights, I do not recommend this stand. I have found that I will not stand to take a shot and unfortunately the way I placed the stand I need to turn 90 degrees to make a bow shot seated. I can correct that problem in the spring for next season. Just cant force myself to stand on the very edge of the stand to raise the seat.
