Comments about Rivers Edge Treestands Rivers Edge Big Foot™ Hang-On Stand:

I got this stand about 6-7 years ago and have never had a problem with it. Overall a great stand for what you pay for it. Very durable and the seat is comfortable too. I weight around 250 lbs. if you add a ratchet strap to help secure it to a tree (as I do with all my treestands for safety) it becomes rock solid on a tree. I have put in many hours on this stand. The only concern I have with it is it can seem a little heavy when setting it up but not unreasonable for what you pay for it. A way to add a treestand to your hunting arsenal without breaking the bank.

Comments about Rivers Edge Treestands Rivers Edge Big Foot™ Hang-On Stand:

I leave this stand in the tree all year for about 5 years now and complaints about it are when it gets below freezing you gotta watch your step because if you step in the wrong place everyone and everything will here a metal to metal creek. Be sure that is where you want the stand when strapping to tree because you'll have to cut it off to take it down and that is another reason why it's was left out. Lastly, it is not a stand to hunt all day, buy a footrest and arm pads for all day hunting. If hunting for couple hours at time its very tolerable. overall a nice stand, could use more welds on platform to cure the noise and a different strap for securing to tree.

Comments about Rivers Edge Treestands Rivers Edge Big Foot™ Hang-On Stand:

I like things that last and I like a bargain. This product looks like it covers both. I bought this to replace a 25 year old lock-on tree stand. I caught it on sale [...] off and I regret that I didn't get two while they were discounted. It's very stable once you get it set. The platform is huge and the seat is very comfortable. It's relatively light and the included backpack style carry strap makes it easy to tote to the woods. The one drawback is the mounting strap design. It is a friction lock arrangement and it's somewhat difficult to get tight on the tree and very difficult to get loose to take it down. A ratchet strap would be a good design upgrade. I plan on retrofitting one from a tie-down. These are minor inconveniences and for the price it is tough to beat it.
