Be sure to pruchase it with the with the weighted base if it is not going to be perminently mounted.
It is expensive, but the Pelicans do not visit my boat anymore.

I bought this to keep ducks off the back of my boat. In the first week of use, at least one time, it did not keep the ducks away - like to use my boat as a bathroom - ugh. I built my own mounting stand - the one recommended is priced way too high. I do not recommend this item.

Works well to keep birds (and their messes) off the boat cover or hoist cover. Nuts and bolts supplied with unit are not long enough to mount unit to weight pad supplied.

I have had this product on my swim raft for two years now and it works great. Had a major problem with Seagulls and they are gone!! Highly reommend this product.

Seagulls used my boatlift canopy for roosting creating an unsightly and smelly mess. Repelabird did such a good job on the back half that I bought another one for the front half.

Built new dock, could not keep geese or ducks from using and leaving a trail of their food and droppings. With Repel-A-Bird, no longer a problem.
