Comments about Remington® UMC Ammunition, 100-Round Value Pack:
I use this for range practice. They are affordable and very close in bullet weight to the premium ammo that I actually carry (i.e., 90gr). They mostly work OK with my LCP, but there are always a couple of rounds in a box whose bullets are seated about 0.5mm too high. Those "odd ball" cartridges do not move freely inside the magazine tube, causing the gun to malfunction… I don't know if the "2% failure rate" is considered good or bad, but certainly not a type of ammo you want to trust your life with in harms way. They are, however, great practice ammo in the range as recommended by the manufacture. For some strange reasons, these actually work better with my LCP than more expensive "Rem. Expressive" ammo...

A:
The best use for this ammo is practice, target shooting, or training exercises.Answered on 8/26/2009 by Matt from Gander TechVERIFIED BUYER
A:
I would use this mainly for target practice. The UMC brand from Remington is generally considered a "value" line that perhaps is lower quality than some other choices. That being said, I have had no problems shooting these rounds, except for a little extra fouling. The way I see it, you have to clean the gun anyway. Another plus is that the ammo is made in the USA.Answered on 9/16/2009 by O. P. Gonebad from ArkansasVERIFIED BUYER
