    called a bird to 35yards this morning and when I pulled the trigger instead of a boom I heard a pop like a pelletgun and the bird of course flew off,the shell didnt eject automatically and when I removed it,it was black and smutty looking and the inside of the barrel was filthy looking.I have shot the rest of them just to get rid of them and out of 10 shells 6 were bad.Im sure I just got a bad box but I bought some Winchester Supreme and wont be buying Remingtons again.the gun I was using was a Browning auto5.

        These shells 3in #6's a jelly head choke tube and an 870 are a deadly combo. killed a big tom 11in beard last spring opening day at 54yrds not a problem. I like em closer but what can you do? Knowing that combo will get the job done is a plus.

        I have used this load in my Mossburg 500, and Mossburg 835 shotguns. The 500, gets better distance. Where as the 835, has true knock down power.
        I Really dont see much difference in scatter pattern when using multipule chokes. With the 3" shell I have bagged big toms at ranges between 13-43 yrds. Great round in #5 &6 shot. Very dependable shell for turkey.
        Only area of importance with this shell is. I find good results on barrel wear due to mix of powder and shot. Save lots of wear and tear on barrels. Only draw back is each year this shell gets more and more expensive... so stock up with a few boxes. It will save $$$ in the long run. Good luck this season/hope this info helps.

              Did not notice any improvement in shot pattern compared to 2 3/4" shells. They were pretty much equal. Noticed better pattern with #5 shot than with the #4 shot. Only my opinion! Best used for Turkey hunting.

                Noticed the tight groups at short range so now it's my home defense load. I would hate to be on the wrong end of that in the middle of the night. It kills turkeys on the spot.
