Product Description
remington Born of gunmaking expertise that brought you the best-selling, most trusted shotgun of all time, the Model 870, the Model 887 Nitro Mag is an armor-clad warrior here to carry the torch of Remington's great pump-gun legacy through the most extreme conditions on earth. The most durable and reliable shotgun ever built, the 887 has no external surfaces to rust. Remington's exclusive ArmorLokt construction process seals the receiver and barrel in a vault of weather-impervious synthetic armor, so you can wipe it down with your wet dog or a decoy bag at the end of the day. Its overmolded surface is built to withstand abrasion in the trenches, whether that's barbed wire, gnarly thorns, or the bottom of a Jon boat. And when it's time for action, the revolutionary SuperCell recoil pad so effectively reduces rearward force that it makes a 3" mag 12-gauge feel like a light field load. Featuring a 28" barrel with a solid rib and a Hi-Viz front sight with interchangeable fiber-optic light tubes to maximize visibility for the conditions, the Model 887 Nitro Mag handles 12-gauge 2-3/4", 3", and 3-1/2" loads interchangeably. Like the Model 870, the receiver of the 887 is manufactured from solid steel, and the barrel is hammer-forged, ensuring strength and longevity. The rugged synthetic stock and fore-end have specially contoured grip panels.

Comments about Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag Shotgun:

Whether I take it on the range, the backyard, or in the field I have not had a problem with this gun. The kick is minimal for such a lightweight shotgun. Straight out of the box I ran through 150 3" and 3 1/2" shells without a problem and have not had a problem in over 2 years. A buddy of mine with the same gun dropped his in about 3 feet of marsh waters and took down a couple flyers less than 10 minutes later. Doesn't get much better for an all around gun with the included choke tubes.

Comments about Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag Shotgun:

All around a great shotgun for every thing, but their are some issues. first off it will rust on the magazine tube. and at times it will jamm when chambering a round. It comes with a good modified choke tube. As i said its good for almost anything.

Comments about Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag Shotgun:

Think of it as an 870+ With the armor coat it makes for a gun you don't have to worry about in foul weather. Rain, snow, it handles it all. Ducks and geese should fear the gun. It will handle anything that a hunter can endure and keeps going bang. This may be tougher than the hunters that use it. Wish it had some barrel choices.

Comments about Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag Shotgun:

An ugly gun, I will admit, but tough as nails. Little recoil for a pump gun. The super cell recoil pad works great and I have now put them on my other Remingtons. When it barks things die!!! I hope they make a slug barrel soon. The AK 47 of shotguns. Can't make it rust.
