Comments about Remington® Model 870™ Express Super Mag Shotgun:
I bought mine the week I turned 18 almost ten years ago for hunting, and it has never has let me down! The gun points and swings like a dream, and goes "bang" every time! I have NEVER had a misfire with this gun! Although this gun does not come with a slug barrel, it will accept all other 870 barrels, and head spacing is never an issue. It cycles anything you throw at it beautifully, with the exception of one certain "cheap" bulk trap load in 2 and three quarters. Reason is, the hulls are a bit smaller than they're supposed to be, and when shot, expand beyond what they're supposed to. I only had this problem with ONE ammo manufacturer and cannot blame the gun for this. When fully loaded with 3 and a half ammo, the second shot usually will catch on the first mid cycle; but because I use this gun mostly for waterfowl (you're only allowed three shells in your gun in my state) it has never been an issue for me (the problem will not occur if you "rack" the firearm hard or if you only have two 3 and a half shells in the magazine. It's a problem with too much follower tension, and will probably break in with time). This gun WILL NOT allow you to abuse the finish, as many will. It's plenty durable, yeah, but rust is an issue in moist areas that many of my other guns don't seem to mind. 10w-30 takes care of that problem. Excellent gun overall, and with it's legendary reliability and "most popular shotgun of all time" title, you can't go wrong! I know I didn't!

Q:
Can I order a gun on-line and have it shipped to me? I live in Illinois.Asked on 2/2/2010 by Anonymous from Watseka, Il1 answer
A:
Yes, within the country. But if the gun is from an FFL dealer it has to be shipped to an FFL dealer in your area, and they usually charge a small processing fee for this. I wouldn't try international buying/selling. Gets WAY to complicated.Answered on 5/1/2010 by The Deer Slayer from Jackson, WI
