Very good gun, very reliable, combact and versitle. I shoot everything from bord shot to slugs. the only downside would have to be that the stock is alittle bit to short, but thats for me atleast. I am very happy with this product, and im sure its a firearm that will last me a lifetime.

Comments about Remington® 870™ Express Jr. Shotgun:
I purchased one of these fine shotguns for my children to be able to hunt spring turkey with me. I could not have made a better choice.
The stock is at a perfect size for small shooters and the 20 gauge receiver and 18" barrel balances the gun out so nice. Heck, I may even take it once or twice when I am out on my own as great as the gun balances.
I wasn't totally worried about the barrel length but I knew even with the Remington Extra Full turkey choke installed I was wanting to keep the "gun range" on this at 25-30 yards max. It patterned just fine at 25 yards with Winchester and Remington 3" loads I have little doubt at this point that the gun can take 'em a bit farther but again, for youth hunting I want to be conservative.
Don't waste time or money on those WAY to lightweight single shot combos. While they are fun for learning and plinking with the 22LR barrel, the 20 gauge with fixed bore will tend to not persuade youth to continue shooting or hunting after just a few rounds. The 870 Express Junior will keep 'em confident and out in the field.
