It comes with a pre-mounted and boresighted 3-9x40mm riflescope. Other advancements include a new, ergonomically contoured stock with a raised cheekpiece for rapid scope to eye alignment, and grip texture in all the right places. Offered in a selection of long and short action calibers, the Model 770 is the quickest route to legendary status, and a full freezer. The Compact version of the 770 has a shorter, 20" barrel, giving the rifle a 39-1/2" total length.

    First rifle I've ever bought it's great for medium to long distance. I made a potato the size of a golf ball explode at 100 yrds. decent and reliable gun, must have for a beginner, or first rifle.

      I bought this .243 rifle as a gift for my son (10 years of age) for his 1st deer hunt. The 1st deer (doe) was shot at 135 yards through the neck and the 2nd deer (6 point buck) was shot at 55 yards through the lungs. 1 shot each. A very accurate rifle once I sighted in the scope as the factory bore sighting is a joke (4 feet left of center at 25 yards). Otherwise a very easy operating rifle that my son loves and looks forward to years of hunting with this rifle.
