My 770 was VERY accurate right out of the box! I only had to put a couple rounds through it to hit a quarter at 100 yds. It has seen rain, snow, mud, and plenty of knocking around, and it's rock-solid! Slap a bipod on the front stud, and it's GREAT for shooting prone. As Grey Ghost mentioned, it ain't the prettiest thing you've ever laid eyes on, but it's not made to be a showcase piece.

The action did stick a little bit the first time I took it out, but after a good cleaning, and a box of 180gr cartridges, the bolt ran like a track-star! It is a LITTLE bit heavy, but put a sling on it, and you're good to go. If you're trying to chase down whitetail or hogs, do yourself a favor and use a .30-30 or something easier to move with. This is NOT a shoot-on-the-run kind of rifle and is best used from a fixed position.

All-around good rifle for the coin, in my opinion!

If you want a high dollar piece to brag about, do not buy this rifle. If you want a rifle that will perform and feed you without a lot of fuss, buy this rifle. Good starter rifle for a novice or a nice Get-r-done rifle for an old hand. The composite stock is well built, good feel, barrel straight and true, bolt could be better but works well enough, provided scope is good enough.
