Great gun, use it for deer hunting every year on our farm in MI. Have shot deer from 20 yards all the way up to 500 yards. Have also used it for hunting ground hogs, it was a little much for that.

Comments about REMINGTON 700 BDL .30-06 SPRGFLD:

I own this same rifle but in 7mm Rem Mag. My neighbor owns it in 30-06, having fired both I am extremely pleased. It's good looking, easy to clean, sturdy, reliable and extremely accurate. Put a Leopold VX-II or VX-III on it and you will be pleased. My 7mm consistently has shot groups the size of a dime. The 30.06 is a good all around choice for most, I prefer the 7mm because I am moving out west where I will need longer shots and intend to hunt Elk and possibly Moose and bear eventually. I am looking forward to buying another in the future for smaller game. In short I love this rifle and you will too.
