Product Description

The 700 features a receiver machined from solid-steel bar stock resulting in uniformity and strength and a recessed bolt face that locks up inside the counter-bored breech of the barrel, which is surrounded by the receiver, forming "three-rings-of-steel" that enclose the cartridge case head for unparalleled strength. The Model 700 ADL features an improved, ergonomically designed synthetic stock for better handling and enhanced overall functionality. This rifle is calibered for .308 Winchester ammunition and includes a 3-9x40MM scope that has been mounted and bore sighted. All exterior metalwork features a matte blued finish.

The ADL features an internal magazine, while the next model up - the BDL features a box-style mag. The ADL CAN be upgraded in many ways (up to, and including, the BDL's features).

              I bought this rifle for hunting, but the optics simply aren't good enough to rely on. I wish gander would just sell the base model for the cheapest price, skip the extras. Looking back, I wish I had bought a BDL or better because I am going to end up replacing the stock, upgrading the bolt, and replacing the optics. Will cost me more in the end than just buying a nicer model.

              For a low price you get the famous remington 700 action, and that's what you're paying for, and it's worth it.
