The clip-fed, 5-shot, bolt-action Springfield Model 1903 was the primary battle rifle of the U.S. military from its introduction up until 1936 and saw action as recently as Vietnam. The Model 1903 was based on a Mauser design, but differs from other rifles of the time by using a two-piece firing pin. This bolt-action rifle has camo tape applied to the barrel, its stock has been sanded down, and aftermarket front and rear sights have been installed. Its wood is in fair condition and its metal and bore are in good condition.
