To be honest its not a good home defence round. after about 15 feet is really spreads out. i would shoot a slug in my house before this shell. it will tear threw inner walls so not very safe depending on your house lay out and where the criminal comes it. i have 2 year old and wouldn't trust using it for home defence to much collateral damage. i'll stick with my slug or 00. all around tho its a good shell to take out and shoot targets but not so because of the price.

    Ok for inside a home. A good Turkey load will do the same thing at half the price. Still would not want to get hit with it. Most any shotgun load will make hamburger out what ever it hits. Just a question of how well you want to grind it.
