Comments about Remington Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point Ammo:
Remington puts out the best product for the price, hands down. I've taken many trophy bucks with 1 shot. 1 drawback is that there are not as many choices for the 308 as there use to be. When I purchased my BAR while in the military in the early 1970's, I was able to purchase 165 grain SP ammo from Remington, that was the best all around cartrage for deer, ever. Now, I can only get the SP in 180, and that is hard to find.

Comments about Remington Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point Ammo:
I been using this round for many years , in 30 06, 308, 35 rem ,30-30 and I have to say it is the best bullet and brand I have ever used , I dropped deer in it's tracks at 220 yds , I shot 5 Black Bears and dropped 4 of them in it's tracks and 1 went only 40 yds ...If you want a bullet to drop your game in it's tracks this is the way to go ...Forget all these other brands out there , AND REMEMBER IF YOU WANT TO DROP YOUR GAME IN IT'S TRACKS MAKE SURE YOU BUY CORE LOKT SP ( SOFT POINT) NOT THE SPS THEY SUCK . you want a bullet that on impact it is going to mushroom and do damage , And for the price of it you cannot go wrong for [$] a box of 20

Comments about Remington Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point Ammo:
This is the original yellow/green box Core-Lokt ammo. We use the 180gr PSP and SP as the primary ammo for a 1964 99A in .308. It produces sub-MOA groups @ 100yds. We searched long, hard, and expensive for a round that this gun would "like", and always came back to this round as the best. The groups prove it!
There is njo "magic bullet". These rounds are not the best in any of my other guns. You have to experiment with different brands, bullet weights, bullet designs to find the "right" one for your gun. It takes patience, praqctice, and some money but it's worth it in the end
