Product Description
remington The most durable shotgun on the planet. Born of the gunmaking expertise that brought you the best-selling, most trusted shotgun of all time, the Model 870, the Model 887 Nitro Mag is an armor-clad warrior here to carry the torch of our great pump-gun legacy through the most extreme conditions on earth. Remington's Exclusive ArmorLokt process seals the receiver and barrel in a vault of weather-impervious synthetic armor that's both completely rustproof and tough as nails. Similar to the Model 870, it's receiver is crafted of solid steel and the barrel is hammer forged to last a lifetime. Twin steel action bars ensure smooth, positive chambering and ejection. And the sleek receiver design, awesome balance and natural pointing characteristics spell trouble for any bird within reach of its 12-gauge 3-1/2" Super Magnum capability. The extremely rugged synthetic stock and fore-end are ergonomically contoured to offer a positive grip and comfortable handling. Swivel studs are built- in. Model 887 Nitro Mag Tactical combines supreme toughness and dependability with a handy 18-1/2" barrel, a 2-shot magazine extension and a barrel clamp with integral Picatinny rails for mounting your flashlight or other accessories. It also includes a ported, extended tactical Rem Choke and receiver mounted on Picatinny rail.

Comments about Remington 887 Nitro Mag Tactical Shotgun:

I have owned the 887 Nitro Mag Tactical model since it was first introduced more than three years ago and am impressed with its performance. The 887 is comparatively light in weight and recoil is soft, even with longer shells. The gun cycles nicely, but the fore-end grip has a lot of sideways play, and this can be a distraction until you get used to the feel. For traditionalists, the design and construction of the 887 might pose a problem. The trigger guard is over-molded plastic and the overall look of the 887 is a little futuristic. I have brought mine to the shooting range many times and have yet to experience a problem. The 887 is fun to shoot. It is light, easy to point, and has a soft kick. I have seen some bad reviews of this shotgun, and I think the main reason is people are disappointed that it does not have the traditional look and feel they were expecting. Not a problem for me.

Comments about Remington 887 Nitro Mag Tactical Shotgun:

There has been a lot of negative reviews about this gun and i am here to tell you it's all bull butter.this shot gun does not mash your finger when you use the new forward bolt release button on the front trigger guard,if you are mashing your finger operating this gun then you are uncordinated and probably should not be using a firearm at all...this gun still functions like silk after 500+ rounds and will for 1000 more.it is covered by armor lokt and comes with a beech choke, gun holds 7+1 rounds and eats all ammo sizes up to 3 1/2 inch magnums. do not entertain the vidoes of self proclaimed military wannabes on you tube trying to rack a round with one hand and fire it from one knee and all these silly speed shots...just use it the way it is designed to be, you will love it and in my opinion it is the best looking shotgun out today.oh yeah, and buying from Gander was the easiest ways to get this bad boy, just buy online and select your closest location and they will call you when it arrives, great gun from a great company, thanks Gander Mountain!

I've fired this weapon about 500 times, not a single problem. In my opinion this is the best shotgun under $600 by far.

Comments about Remington 887 Nitro Mag Tactical Shotgun:

I like the gun, first time out though started having extraction issues with 3 & 3.5" shells. No problem with 2.75" shells. Sending back to Remington for repair. I haven't had enough experience with it to say that its totally bad or great but I'm assuming this current glitch will be fixed and it will perform flawlessly hopefully. Unfair for me to recommend this gun at this point. Need more range time, etc to give a fair & accurate opinion.
