Cons

Comments about Rapala Scatter Rap Minnow, 4-3/8":

The body of the Rapala minnow with a broader, rounder diving lip.

The old Rapala minnow has always been one of my most reliable fish catchers. The new scatter Rap dives a little deeper and has a more frantic action. Used it twice now and the bass and pickeral liked it just fine.

I'm sure that there will be times when the scattewr Rap's more frantic action will trigger more strikes than the original.

A great addition to my tackle bag

Comments about Rapala Scatter Rap Minnow, 4-3/8":

The original Rapala floating minnow has always been one of my most reliable fish catchers.

The scatter rap has the same body but a different diving lip which gives it a more rolling action and causes it to quickly veer off to the side when you speed up your retrieve and then return to the orginal path.

I used it for the first time today and the largemouths and pickeral liked it just fine.

I can't say that the scatter rap is "better" than the original, which is hard to improve on. But I'm sure that there are situations where its more frantic action will trigger strikes that the original would not.

The only disadvantage compared to the original is that the scatter rap doesn't cast as well. Seems that the broader diving lip makes it less aerodynamic.

But this is a minor disadvantage, especially when you're fishing from a boat.

All in all, the scatter rap is an excellent addition to my tacklebox.
