I've used this switch a couple times but now more. It hangs. Pump does not go on. Just cleaned the cabin bilge with 6 inches of water in rear cabin. Never again.

I have only had it a week installed on my boat. Went on a house boat trip where my boat sat in the water and the switch turned on my bildge pump as it should. Not had it long enough to test it's durability.

I bought this float and when I hook it up to my bilge pump I cannot get it to activate. The bilge pump works when I throw my switch on, could it be the wires from the bilge are bad?
