Unlike traditional bimini top fittings, this stainless-steel hinge's quick release feature allows the owner to easily remove or install the top without worrying about screws and pins. Low-profile base mounts directly onto any vertical or horizontal surface. Hinge is designed to snap into the base and can swivel 360°. Fits 7/8" diameter tubing with no end cap. Mounting hardware not included. Sold individually.

        The picture of this item is mis-leading. I called to ask if it has a cap or can slide on a pipe. The saleperson confidently reassured me it did not have a cap. I got the part and it has a cap on the bottom side.

            I was sick of the bimini straps flapping in the wind, and I hope these do the trick. Easy to install and adds a nice classy touch to the boat. The end-cap rotates very easily 360, and the release button works great, except there is very little 'give' for a slightly angled support pole. It binds-up the release button so it doesn't come out easily (may swap out for the more expensive one). Needs to come with mounting screws!

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
