i purchased this to try it out. im not too impressed. it drops too slow and there is not enough fletching clearance so after about 25 shots brand new blazer vanes have a line down the side of them. it is extremely loud when it drops too. the only good thing is that i still group good with it out to 60 yards. However i sometimes ramdomly hit 5-6" low and i kno this is not because of me. also a few times it either did not drop or bounced right back up to the cocked position afetr a shot. Spend a little extra money and buy either a more expensive QAD or a ripcord.

Comments about QAD Quality Archery Designs Ultra-Rest Hunter Arrow Rest:
DVD was helpful for setup. With little previous experience on a fall away rest I was able to be up and shooting within 30 minutes. I have noted that I need to shoot lower profile fletched arrows to clear the retainer bar. Accurate and easy to adjust.

Comments about QAD Quality Archery Designs Ultra-Rest Hunter Arrow Rest:
Set this rest up in about 20 minutes quite easily. It works fantastic. I put some camo moleskin in place of the black felt and it reduces the noise. It drops out of the way quick with no contact. It has improved my accuracy and consistency. I would like a metal launcher arm but it works fine with the plastic one. Also the cable clamp is convenient but I would suggest serving the cable and cord.

Comments about QAD Quality Archery Designs Ultra-Rest Hunter Arrow Rest:
Watched the video and had the rest installed in no time.Greatly improved my groups.Rest is very quiet.Had no problems with fletchings making contact with forks. If this happens i suggest finding someone that knows what they are doing because drop speed is more than enough.Dont blame the rest when it is probably a tuning issue, low nock kick may be the problem not the rest.

Comments about QAD Quality Archery Designs Ultra-Rest Hunter Arrow Rest:
Very nice rest. the only thing you have to have your vanes set so that the odd color vane is up so that they dont hit the rest and the felt that comes with the rest is junk after only about 20 shots the felt started ripping apart but not a big deal

Comments about QAD Quality Archery Designs Ultra-Rest Hunter Arrow Rest:
This is a very nice , well built rest. You will get two launcher rest with your purchase . If you have trouble with contact , I would recommend the "taller" one. Also ignore the position of the "D loop" until you have installed the rest , then square it up by moving the loop. I have this rest on an XLR8 and it works great. I will have to say it takes some work , but well worth it.

Q:
does this rest have lock down technology?Asked on 6/6/2010 by kaleb the killa from barstow,CA1 answer
A:
No, this model does not. Personal, I don’t think that has not been an issue. My bow shoots an arrow at 240 fps and shoots bull’s eye on paper at 6 feet. I shooting groups of 3" from 30 yards... I like it.
Be sure to paper tune you bow.Answered on 9/1/2010 by YouTube: RickM1953 from Stockbridge, MI

Q:
is this rest fast enough to keep up with a bow that shoots around 330 fps with hunting set up and can you shoot blazer vanes with itAsked on 5/6/2010 by bill from flint, MI2 answers
A:
This rest should certainly be able to keep up with your bow. Blazer vanes can be shot through this.Answered on 5/7/2010 by Charlie from Gander TechA:
Yes it is fast enough , I shoot an "XLR8" at 338 fps. BUT you will have to tune it pretty close. I would recommend the taller of the two prongs . Good huntingAnswered on 10/28/2010 by Buckayear from Weatherford, Texas
Q:
IS IT GOOD FOR LIKE A 24 IN DRAW LENGTH AND 50 LBSAsked on 4/25/2010 by T from TX1 answer
A:
This rest will work on any draw length . I am pulling 30 inch with 70 lbs. with no problems. I might add that you can use it as an overdraw if you decide to play around with it. You may find when you apply the moleskin on the forks that it may tear it off. This is a sign of contact. With your combination you shouldn't have any problems. If you do , it will require some more fine tuning.Keep in mind the tuning line must be pretty close. If you have Too short of take-up it will "pull" the whole rest down, and on release the rest will snap your arrow upward as it comes through . Hard for me to explain in this small area. Good luck and good hunting .Answered on 10/28/2010 by Buckayear from Weatherford , Texas
