This is one of the slickest flag mounts ever! Easy to install, and the flag mounts and dismounts in seconds. And the quality of the flag is second to none. I only wish I could buy the individual mount by itself. I would install 3 more mounts in various locations on my boat.

Comments about Taylor Made Pontoon Flag Pole Socket with 30" Pole and U.S. Flag:
The mount was easy to install and the flag is a perfect size for our 25 ft pontoon boat. I like that the flag is made of a heavier material and everything is sewn on, not done in a screen print. It has been a perfect addition to our boat's accessories.

Q:
Is the pole easily removable from the base.Asked on 7/14/2010 by daveb from Batesville, AR2 answers

A:
The pole is easily removable. I actually had a harder time inserting the flag into the mount the first couple of times, because I am arthritic, but I had no trouble removing it. When we are not on board, we store the flag, and it is my "job" to set it up each time... it is easy!Answered on 7/13/2011 by Gail from Bellwood, PAVERIFIED BUYER

Q:
does it interfere with a full coverAsked on 7/27/2009 by Anonymous3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It all depends on what type of boat you have and if you have a support system on your boat and also where the flag is mounted.Answered on 10/14/2009 by Bryant C from Tech DepartmentVERIFIED BUYER
A:
no. but you have to remove the flag to put the cover on.Answered on 4/26/2010 by Glenn from Prattville ALA:
It depends on how customized the cover is i.e. exact fit, semi-custom, universal. However, as easy as it is to remove the pole, there is no reason to risk damage by leaving it in the mount when covering the boat.Answered on 6/15/2010 by Sunset Rider from Natchez, MS
Q:
How does it fasten to the boat ? stainless steel screws ?Asked on 6/5/2009 by dave from lake anna, virginia1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
dave , they are stainless screws. Have to drill a pilot hole first. My boat is in Dukes Creek Marinia if you want to look at it.
