    This gate latch will *not* work on most pontoon boat gates. Only select this product if your gate looks exactly like the one pictured, and even then you may need to cut into the aluminum panel and risk destroying your gate.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I took my 24 year old gate latches off and replaced them with these latches. I used the same bolt hole and it took about 5 minutes per door. This product tightens and stabilizes the door when closed.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          from the start difficult to determine whether you need left or right. there were no instruction for installations. order both left and right just to see what was needed. Then determined they would not work on a southbay design boat..
