Product Description
Unlike trail cameras that trigger on short-range motion, the PlotWatcher HD TLV (Time-Lapse Video) captures images of an area regardless of how far the subject is from the camera. Using time-lapse HD video, it records activity at a much greater distance, covering an area 10 times greater than a traditional scouting camera. When set up at hunting locations, this greater field of view allows the hunter to see game and their travel patterns that would have gone undetected by traditional trail cameras. Images are taken every 5 or 10 seconds from dawn until dusk, producing a short HD video that, when reviewed with the included GameFinder software, will allow you to see a full day of activity in just a few minutes. Video is recorded to a USB drive (8GB recommended - not included). Provides over 7 days of daytime video on 4 AA batteries (not included). 3-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x 2-3/4"D.

    This is an amazing new video camera that just came on the market. It is very easy to program. You do need to get a 4G or an 8G USB Flash Drive which you can pick up at [...] for $20.00 for the 8G. The videos are sharp and clear, the color excellent. It will take videos up to 12 hours a day with, or without a sleep mode during the afternoon. You can view the videos on your PC with the included software. Picks up movement great and handles well in rainstorms. Takes time lapse videos so you can see the whole day in minutes. Great camera.

    I have several trail cameras that we monitor several hundred acres. With a new area that was put in with a food plot the Plot Watcher Camera seemed to be the answer on which camera to use for this task.

    The concept is great and works well when you get it turned on. The only thing I would change is the on/off switch. Make it simple - green indicator for on and red indicator for off.

    I would recommend it to a friend but I would warn them about the difficulty about the on/off issue.

          i bought this camera when it first came out. im the type of guy that cant wait for things to come down in price the invention looked awsome so i just bought it. and let me just say this camera has fallen off my wheeler rack multiple times while going to my hunting location, has taken 100's of thousands of pictures and still never seems to dissapoint me. TIP TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS BETTER BATTERY LIFE!...dont use any other flash drive besides the SanDisk cruiser 16 gb. this is the card the manufacturer recommends for a reason. your camera will not malfunction shut off or anthing funky if you stick with what it recommends. also i found a way to double the advertised battery life. advertised as 6-7 days, i consistantly get 12-16 days IN THE COLD of battery life if i use ENERGIZER RECHARGABLE BATTERIES. did you know using the flash drive i mentioned also helps the battery life? it makes it easier for the camera to write files (pics) to the drive if it has the right one. thus saving the batteries. i only use the # 1 setting, which is every 10 seconds all day. works the best! will be buying the pro model soon! cant wait to just swap cards instead of programming flash drives in the woods on my laptop. great camera tho i give it all the credit to my success this past bow season!

          Bought 2 of these primarily for security after some lowlife broke into my cabin. I feel there is a good possibilty this lowlife will be back. These cameras are easily hidden and take excellent pics. All it takes is your imagination where to hide them. I cant say here because who knows who may be reading this and no sense in tipping anyone off here. Battery life seems to be excellent. I would suggest getting at least 8gb USB flash drive. I just bought 16gb and I think this will give me pics out to 2-3 weeks before filling memory. I will likely be buying the pro model soon.

              Used this camera about 8 weeks now with fairly good success. Weather was really rainy but camera has held up. have had a couple times when believed the camera was on but returned to find no pictures were taken. but overall I like this product and can't wait to use it this fall for scouting.

              It works great, cannot make out points at far distances but definately if its a buck or a doe.
              Mount pole is flimsy a coon nocked mine over twice so you will need to use the supplied bungy to attach to a tree or something....overall it works as advertized and I am happy with that

              used it all winter , from 11/15/2010 to 5/22/2011 every day continule use . hotr or cold it runs the same got to check it every 2 days, or it off. battery are 1/2 to 3/4 life, but she's off, or it run for 2-4 hrs. most i can get is, 2gb of pictures reset the menory, and replaced the flash drives , plus reformatt the drives, still a pain, mines a pain ,works when it wants. [...] got a draw full of 1/2 use battery ,new batts every 2 days pictures are ok when it works, but can't read a plate number.

                  It comes with a 5 piece plastic stake and two bungee cords. Camera is very light, so it is very easy to bungee to a tree or post. The plastic stake is suitable for use in soft ground or you can use the stake to raise the camera higher up a tree and actually bungee the stake to the tree or post. The camera has a threaded receptacle in the bottom that the stake, or a standard tripod, can screw into.

                  The camera only takes pictures during the day. The reason for this is that most of the activity you capture will be quite a long way from the camera. At night, you will not be able to illuminate the subject at such a distance. Remember that this camera is designed to scout a large area, not just that area within 40-50 feet of your traditional trail camera. Hope this helps.

                  You do not have to check the videos daily. With an 8G USB Flash Drive, it will take videos for 80 days before the Flash Drive is full. You have to purchase the Flash Drive at Walmart for about $20.00. If you set the camera to take a 12 hour non-stop video, the batteries will last about 7 days. If you program a mid-day sleep mode, it will increase the battery life. It's a great camera. The videos are sharp and clear.

                  Software that comes with the camera that you load into your computer. Easy to view and save on a computer also. I don't think they can be viewed any other way. Hope this helps Joe.
