Best water purifier ever!

Comments about Platypus GravityWorks Water Filter System:

This is by far the most well thought out system Ive ever used. I take my water seriously because I hike out into the PA wilds for days at a time, and you really dont want to be out there with a broken water purifier (ahem MSR.) This is by far the easiest and fastest system to use, no plastic handles to break off, and its light, compact and impossible to break. You dont have to run back and forth five times to fill up a bottle to wash dishes, etc and its REALLY simple to fill up the integral water bladders in my pack, which are a nuisance to dig out and fill up and squeeze back in. Just take off the bite valve and stick the tube from the water purifier on. The only thing that would make this better is a second outlet on the clean bag so that you could have the dirty water constantly keeping the clean bag full and not have to keep taking it apart to use the clean water. No biggie.

Comments about Platypus GravityWorks Water Filter System:

I always do my research on products before buying them, but we ran into a problem with our filtration system on our way up north and had to find something. When I saw this system I was hesitant about it beucase of how fast if would filter the water. I have to say not only is it fast but the water was amazingly clean. After you filter the water you can reverse the process to clean it and the dirt that came out was awesome. The water before we filtered it was a dirty pinkish color and after it was crystal clear. It still had the taste of the river in it but it has never stoped us before, and I see they have a carbon filter you can add on to it to remove the flavor. Its nice to have around when you don't want to waste time with the pumps or the lights. It has no working parts to break and we have 5 guys up at the camp and it does enought drinking water in min. to last us the day. Simply amazing unit I would recomend for anyone. We go 7-15 hours north of Toronto Canada and 2-3 hours off the main roads back packing and this unit worked wonders.
