I now own 3 sizes of this reel. I am a trout fisherman and I fish all size streams and rivers. I have teamed the model 25, 30, and 35 with an ultra light 5', a light 6', and a medium 6 1/2' rod respectively. Spooled the 2 smaller reels with 4# and the larger one with 6#. With this trio of combos I am able to handle all size streams and have been quite successful landing fish up to 18". The trion reels have a very smooth cast and retrieve, and an easy to adjust drag. The price is right and THEY WORK!

I bought this reel last August and fell in love with it! Got it out this spring to do some [*] fishing and the anti reverse broke on the third time out. All in all, I only used this particular reel maybe on 6 outings. Took it back and switched back to a Shimano reel. Much better quality.

Comments about Pflueger Trion 4730GX Ultra-Light Freshwater Convertible Spinning Reel:
Just got back from a trip. 5 different bodies of water in 8 days...a river, lakes and flowage.. The reel was on my primary rod and it worked without any problems at all. Glad I had it with me.

Comments about Pflueger Trion 4730GX Ultra-Light Freshwater Convertible Spinning Reel:
I bought this reel to pair with an ultra-light rod
for freshwater/Panfishing. I have it spooled with
4 lb mono and it cast with ease. I have caught many fish, including Bass with it. Have only
had the reel for about a month and 4 fishing trips, so it is too early to comment on the durability.

Comments about Pflueger Trion 4730GX Ultra-Light Freshwater Convertible Spinning Reel:
Great product. I have owned two so far. Accidentally stepped on the first one. Liked it so much I bought another one to put on my Ugly Stik. Best reel for the money and I don't think it pays to buy anything better. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Pflueger Trion 4730GX Ultra-Light Freshwater Convertible Spinning Reel:
My wife uses this and she doesn't fish frequently so the ease of this reel is appropriate for her to use in evey way I checked above especially line doesn't tangle and smooth drag system for her arthritic hands.
