Comments about Perception Prodigy 10 Recreational Kayak:
We are in the market for kayaks and have been renting various models here and there to get a handle on what make to get. This past weekend my wife and I floated 11 miles in a pair of Perception Prodigy 10s. We really liked the size- a good compromise between bulk and capacity. Our main gripe was that they don't track well when drifting with the current. They constantly demand input from the paddler to maintain course. I don't know if this would have been so noticeable had I not recently been in other kayaks that required very little input in similar situations, but having experienced that ability, it is not something that we are willing to live without so we are scratching this one off of our list of possibilities. And on another note, the rivet that anchors the strap that supports the backrest pulled through the material leaving me with no back support. To be fair, there's no telling what kind of abuse that this had seen prior to our trip.

Comments about Perception Prodigy 10 Recreational Kayak:
This is a great kayak. It can get a little frustrating looking at them all but if you want a well made, durable, easy to use, fun, and great kayak this is it. I am a woman and I can get this kayak up on my car myself with no help and get it down too. If you are looking to go solo it is definitely possible with this kayak. The only possible con I can find is that the hull covers are difficult to get off an on in the water but that is the same with most kayaks I have had.
