    My dad has used Penn Reels since the 70's and has always been happy with how flawlessly they work. He told me, just clean them up after each trip and they will give you good service. Well I went to my local Gander Mountain store and talked with the fishing pros. I was looking for a reliable and heavy duty surf fishing set up. I looked at and read about maybe twenty reels. My choice was the 750ssm. Now on my 3rd trip surf fishing this year I am sure glad I went with Penn. Everything about this reel works great. My friend on the other hand picked up a high dollar reel, I felt bad he had trouble the entire trip. Look, I know this reel is not made in the USA anymore however I cannot find anything wrong with it. Give it a try you are going to be happy you did.
