Love this kayak!

Comments about Pelican Boats Pelican Pursuit 80 Kayak:

I bought the Pelican Pursuit 80 kayak because it is lightweight, easy to carry, fits in my car with the seats down (didn't need to buy a car top carrier), and very inexpensive relative to the other models that are similar to it. Also, kayaks under 9 feet in Minnesota do not need to be licensed which is another plus. I use it on lakes and like the peaceful calm waters. I don't plan on using it on rivers or going out on rough waters. I love this kayak!

Comments about Pelican Boats Pelican Pursuit 80 Kayak:

This is a fun lightweight starter boat. Since it is the cheapest model it has a very hard seat and is hard on a adults back also. The good part is it is easy to paddle and lightweight to carry.

I find this kayak very uncomfortable, hard on the back, and not the easiest to row. I am looking for a better more comfortable one to buy now. only good point is that this kayak is easy to carry and put in my car

No it does not. The only storage it has is basically between your legs, and dont in the foot area. Due to the fixed seat, the rear storage area is inaccessible.

I have this one, and the only storage is were your feet go. Its easy to use, and goes right inside my van, I do love it. I use a paddle with both ends so I guess thats double and its great. I even cross my legs sometimes when I paddle, no foot rest but I havent needed one. You can just put your own cushion or seat pad for extra comfort. It handles the waves pretty good too!

Don't know if you still need an answer, but we bought one for our eight year old grandson and he loves it. Very easy to manuver. We are looking to get the same boat for our six year old granddaughter.
