                  A:

1 quart of primer will cover about 60 square feet. There are 2 pints in a quart so about 30 square feet is the coverage area of 1 pint of primer.

My boat has several coats of white marine paint that have
been applied over the years with sand or walnot shell as
non skid. I realize I must scrape the loose stuff off....is
that sufficient prep before applying the primer?....or since
I am applying over paint do I need the primer?

I have bought the tuff coat primer & hardner. No instructions were sent with the products. Do I need to mix the 2 products together or use them seperatly? If using sepertly, does the primer have to be applied first & then apply the hardner?

you have to mix the two parts. they are binary liquids that become active once mixed. make sure you stir them for several minutes to ensure proper mixing

                  A:

I just did 8 sheets of new marine grade plywood for the deck on my pontoon boat and it worked great. After drying the surface was somewhat rough which helps the paint adhere to it. I would think this would be great for carpet glue also.

I'm confused about the primer and rubberized nonskid marine coating. I'm applying this to a pontoon boat with wood flooring. My question is which product goes on first? I put one coat of the nonskid coating on already, If this is not right what do I do. Thanks
