You can not go wrong with this product. When I found out this product was available to replace carpet this was a no brainer. Never understood why carpet was installed in a boat. However this is the best alternative!!

The only con during this process would be with the application roller, the full size roller was great for larger areas but it does not fit all nooks and cranny's. They don't have a 4" roller to reach in those areas. I used a normal paintbrush and worked fine because it picked up the granules without issue, I would not however user a normal 4" household roller, the granules do not pick up.

But all and all you can not go wrong with this product, this has saved me well over $1900 and I would do it over again!!

I used this for the front casting deck on my 18' aluminum bass boat. I sanded the whole deck, used the recommended primer, followed all directions, even used the roller they sell on here. I applied it a month ago, haven't taken the boat out since and already it is separating and peeling in the 90 degree angles. The flat deck area seems to be holding fine. I put new carpet in the rest of the boat but wanted to go with this since I throw a cast net a lot from the front deck. We'll see how it holds up through a season but more than likely I will just scrape it off and go back with all carpet.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a durable good looking finish that is easy to install. I sprayed the product using a testure gun and it turned out perfect. I like it so well that I am going to use it on my Carver as well. Use good fine line tape and the edges of the finish line will be crisp.

Great product,, Only thing I would change,, the anti-skid granules are white, when you skuff the surface, you get little white dots everywhere, that show up over the color you picked. the granules need to be the color of the paint. I used it on a pontoon, Call the 800 # for ?'s, they are good for info.

Product build was good but the Coverage over New Fiberglass Floor even with the epoxy primer was weak , if the pigment in the primer were stronger the coverage of the floor coating would have been better

I used tuff coat to replace carpet in my 38 year old Glassmaster boat. It looks great & will be very easy to clean after catching a lot of speckled trout. Also it will allow the boat to dry quickly.

                    A:

I used Tuff Coat on the deck of my 22 ft. Renken after pulling up the old carpet. After filling imperfections with bondo and sanding the Tuff Coat covered the remaining glue with no problem.
I used a standard 3/8 in. roller and the primer covered well, using only a half quart for 60 sq. ft.
