Q:Would this work for a ramp to help my dog get into and out of the boat? The ramp would be a 6-foot long by 18-inch wide piece of sturdy plastic that I would coat with this product, and it would attach to the back of the swim platform on my boat and it would extend into and under the water. The dog would climb up the ramp onto the swim platform. Would it be too slippery for that?Asked on 3/26/2014 by Toby from Blyvenville, MO
A:Thank you for your question. There are a lot of variables here---how is the ramp extension created? Is it tiered like a ladder extension or is it straight? The wet plastic alone most likely will be too slippery---and the addition of the non-skid will help eliminate that--but its hard to say if its enough as so much is dependent on design. I would suggest you call our technical services department and continue this conversation in detail.Answered on 3/28/2014 by Anonymous

Q:Can I use this product on the surface of my floating / swim dock? Can I strip off the outdoor carpet and apply this directly to the wood sub surface?. Thank you..Asked on 11/27/2013 by joe from woburn MA and west newfield ME
A:Yes, you should be able to use this product on wood surfaces. Once you have stripped all carpet and the adhesive it was held down with, make sure the surface is completely clean and free of any debris that would prevent proper adhesion. A two-part primer (Overton's item # 73216) is required for wood surfaces prior to applying the nonskid coating. We have also included instructions from the manufacturer on our website under the manuals tab on the item display page.Answered on 12/2/2013 by Product Expert from Overton's
