Comments about Overton's Overton's Removable Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder, 4-Step:
After making some modifications to add extensions to the bottom of the ladder so that it would rest up against our deck boat it works fine. Was designed more for a pontoon rather than a boat though, because the bottom needs to rest against the boat in order to provide proper support. The flush mounts provide flexibility to have ladder mounts in various positions on the boat though which is very nice. They were supposed to come with a plate that fit underneath that would prevent any snag in the carpet but they didn't. Also it stated that mounts were sold separately, which we were planning to order extra mounts, but the ladder came with a set so we ordered more than we needed.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Removable Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder, 4-Step:
This is a great ladder. Very sturdy. The mounts fit under the pontoon door and offer no obstruction. We've had several people on the boat, from large to small, and nobody has had any issues climbing aboard.
Worth the money.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Removable Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder, 4-Step:
I have only owned the ladder for a few weeks. Seems to be working great but I'm a little worried that the mounting bolts on the end of the ladder will fatigue and break. So far so good.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Removable Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder, 4-Step:
This is the answer to persons needing to add a sturdy ladder to access their boat from the water. We use our boat recreationally and swim off the boat often. This ladder makes it easy to enter and get out of the water, even for people of large stature.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Removable Telescoping Pontoon Boat Ladder, 4-Step:
I HAVE A 25' PONTOON BOAT. MY FIRST LADDER WAS THE ORIGINAL ONE (1998 CREST). IT WAS NARROW AND HAD SMALL STEPS. I MADE MY NEXT ONE OUT OF A "POOL" LADDER. DUE TO SEVERAL SHOULDER INJURIES AND SURGERIES IT'S NOT THAT EASY GETTING OUT OF THE WATER ONTO A PONTOON BOAT. THIS NEW LADDER IS NICE IN THAT IT RETRACTS AND STORES "VERY EASY". THE STEPS ARE ALSO A NICE SIZE. IT IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT. IT ALSO FIT MY PREVIOUS OLDER MOUNTS W/SOME SMALL AMOUNT OF DRILLING ON THE LARGER HOLE. ON MY BOAT YOU CAN'T TRAVEL WITH IT OUT EVEN PULLED UP AND STRAPPED BUT IT'S SMALL ENOUGH THAT I JUST LAY IT AT THE DOOR. I'M ALSO USED TO HAVING THOSE LARGE POOL HANDLES TO GRAB. I BOUGHT 2 BECAUSE WHEN THE KIDS START "CIRCLING THE WAGON" THERE'S 2 ENTRANCES I'M OUT OF THE WAY. THIS IS A NICE PRODUCT FOR COMFORT, USAGE AND ESPECIALLY STORAGE.

Q:
Will this ladder match the existing hook mounts on a 1995 Grumman 24' pontoon boat. Are these ladders standard widths which match most any mounts?Asked on 5/24/2012 by Chris from Gainesville, GA0 answers
Q:
How wide is it? I'm considering mounting on one of the two small platforms on the rear of my Searay 180BR. Any better suggestions?
Thanks,
JohnAsked on 5/23/2011 by John L from Athens, TN0 answers
Q:
what is the width of the ladder where it hooks over the pontoon? I am looking for a ladder that works on a rigid inflatable boat with wide pontoons.Asked on 10/3/2010 by pontoon ladder from anchorage, ak1 answer
A:
This ladder requires that you screw mounts into a flat surface. It does not hook over the pontoons. You should consider items 72072 and 72073 which hook over the side of a boat with drilling or screwing into anything. You would not want to pop the inflatable boat, which is what will happen with this ladder.Answered on 10/19/2010 by Technician from Overton's
Q:
Can this ladder be mounted at the front of the pontoon between the pontoon logs.Asked on 7/5/2010 by FirewalkerC2 from Illinois1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
No, not without modification to the boat. The ladder requires the pontoon on the side to steady the bottom of the ladder.Answered on 6/22/2011 by Joe from Hideaway, TX
Q:
My pontoon does not have any side doors. It is about twenty years old and the only door is in the front. The only place that I have to put the ladder is in the front between the pontoon tubes. Will the ladder be solid enough just resting against the deck of the pontoon and not against the tubes?Asked on 5/3/2010 by Bob from Hudson, IN1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
The ladder is nice but I think it would be difficult to use and may over stress the mounting bolts without the support of resting on the pontoon. The ladders i have noticed on other pontoon boats that have placed them on the end are the fold under the boat or the ladder that folds (up) in half. You may want to research those ladders for a front of the boat mount.Answered on 7/20/2011 by SS from Chautuaqua Lake NY
Q:
I have the swim ladder but need to replace the mounts the ladder goes into(flush with floor of my pontoon. Do you sell those seperately?Asked on 3/24/2010 by Dave from Des Moines, Ia1 answer

Q:
Can this ladder be folded up when the boat is under way, or does it have to be stowed.Asked on 7/29/2009 by Rick from No. Lake Travis, TX1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
I just leave my ladder on the side of boat while under way, but I did add a safety cord to hold it and prevent losing it just in case we hit a big wake or something to jar it loose.
when the ladder is installed, it doesn't appear loose or act like it's liable to fall off.Answered on 8/11/2009 by Robert Graham from Greenville, South Carolina
