Q:I have one of these mirrors and I can't mount it on my winshied because my windshield thicknes is about 3/8" thick.The thumbscrew is not long enough and the space within the mount bracket is too great. It needs a shim that can be tapped to work with the thumb screw and the rubber gasket. Isn't it supposed to have a shim that will take up the space. I need help.
