These guides save me from a big headache everytime. Before I got these it was a pain to trailer my boat. Not to mention that buying them at Overtons saved me $95 from getting them at the marine store here in Idaho. I mounted these so they were 3" from the boat sitting on the trailer. I only say this because I believe I saw someone wondering how close to mount them.

Comments about Overton's Overtons Bunkboard-Style Boat Guide-Ons, 5 Long, Pair:

The greatest advantage for these guide ons is loading the boat in windy conditions. It eliminates any guess work and centers the boat while loading. I really am glad we purchased these guides. I even installed them myself.

Comments about Overton's Overtons Bunkboard-Style Boat Guide-Ons, 5 Long, Pair:

Item was exactly as I ordered and shipment was fast. Item was easy to install but...only thing I unhappy with was after installing item, the bunk boards were still to far away from the boat (adjustment poles were in as far as possible). I fixed the problem with adding an additional 2x4 to the backside of the bunkboard. I recommend you install them very close up against the boat, 1/2in spacing on each side. (It worked best for me).

THE DELIVERY WAS RIGHT ON SCHEDULE.
INSTALATION WAS EASY WITH 2 PERSON.
          QUALITY WAS VERY GOOD.
I ADDED 3 FT. OF PVC TO THE BACK POSTS WHICH MADE IT EASY TO SEE WHERE THE TRAILER WAS WHEN BACKING
          DOWN.
THE PRICE WAS VERY LOW FOR THE QUALITY.

              A:

              Hello Tom,

My answer is based on you have a 4" high trailer frame. If the bunk board is attached in the top hole of the side support arm and the arm is attached to the underside of the trailer frame, then the height from the top of the 2 x 4 should be 23" from the bottom of the trailer frame.

              Thank you,
              Steve
