Bought to replace factory molded stock sling studs, these metal ones will not break, far superior to "plastic stock" studs. Fairly easy to install, but the fine threads on the stud did cause installation issues. Needed to remove excess length of stud to fit, no tap & die for fine threads to remove burrs, made re-installing the nut a slight challenge, but not insurmountable by any means. For the price, could have included a short & long fine thread stud, similar to the two included woods screws.

Comments about The Outdoor Connection TOC Swivel Bases:
Bought these to replace a front, fixed swivel on a Lee Enfield No. 4 MK 1 sporter I was refinishing. Needed to replace the old, fixed front swivel and add a butt stock swivel. Kit includes half-inch wood screw for the forearm (which I used) and a bolt-on front swivel machine screw; giving you options. You will need a couple of correctly-sized drill bits to install. Best way would be to use a drill-press, but I used a hand-held drill; which used with care worked just fine. Do follow all instructions. Black spacers provided are an excellent alternative to white spacers included with most swivels. Gives a far neater and more classic appearance. I combined them with Talon swivels, but studs work with any standard QD swivel.

Comments about The Outdoor Connection TOC Swivel Bases:
I needed to add swivel bases to my Boyd's Evolution stock. The instructions were thorough and easy to understand. Not only do you get all 3 types of studs and spacers, which will work for pretty much any stock, but they are also well made. You also get a FOREVER warrranty. Not a lifetime warranty, but a FOREVER warranty! :)

Easily repaired the old, broken swivel in my 25 year old BPS Magazine Cap. Saved $$ by not having to replace the entire cap.

Just the hardware I needed to install my new Sling Strap to my Rifle. Like that option of wood screw or Machine screw provided in purchase.

Q:
Will this fit in the magazine cap of a Mossberg 500 Turkey/waterfoul? and is it available in the store?Asked on 5/30/2012 by Anonymous0 answers
Q:
I have a Sears Model 200 12 gauge pump that I bought back in 1967 and I want to put a sling on it. It didn't come with swivels. The slings I've found locally have the front swivel machined into a new plug cap that is supposed to replace mine, but the new cap isn't deep enough to secure the barrell properly. Any ideas?Asked on 3/20/2010 by Hardcrab from Littlestown, PA0 answers

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It will work as long as you are willing to drill into your stock. I would recommend pre-drilling a slightly smaller hole and then screwing it in.Answered on 9/25/2009 by Matt from Gander Tech

A:
No, there is not enough wood on the forend stock before you would run into feed tube interference issues. You might be able to shorten the small wood screw, but it does not give enough stock material left to ensure no splits in the long-run. A metal clamp style over the magazine tube/barrel would be a better solution in the long-term.Answered on 11/2/2009 by Guy Incognito from Duluth, MN
